Why would that bother Creationists?
All that does is prove that you can design life. If anything, they will try and use it to prove that life requires intelligent design.

For some, that's okay.
In some theological teachings, this sort of 'creation' is the hallmark of being human. We create because we were created that way. :-)

Yep, they will complain
The "We can't play GOD!" crowd is sure to complain but they are a different group. And the complain about everything. Every change they don't like is "playing GOD" no matter when or what, and they don't like almost all change.
I'm sure when the first cave man used a club to kill an animal, there was another one saying "Only GOD is allowed to strike down creatures."
