Harry Potter 7
My sister got the book a day early. She lives in a little hick town and the drug store there didnt know the book wasnt to go on sale until midnight tonight. She bought 3 copies (so they dont have to fight over one copy at her house) and immediately read the last chapter and called me to ask if I wanted to know who lives and dies.
Arrggh.. Dont tell me!! Okay.. Tell me!! NO!! Dont!
I caved. She told me. I KNOW!! Oooo... I'm dying to tell someone.
I cant wait to get my hands on that book tomorrow. Dont bother me for the rest of the weekend. I'll be neglecting my kids until I finish that book!

I ALWAYS read the last page.
I did that even as a kid. I have a hard time with delayed gratification.

Not really.
I was holding out for "Harry Potter And The Big Iron Guillotine That Cuts Off His Head", but instead Rowling cranked out yet another shittily written tome not involving the messy demise of all involved.

Yes, but not from you.
I intend to read it for myself. And likely in the paperback version. Which means probably in about 12 months. :-)
I have faith it won't be spoiled. There was a major event a that the end of book 6 that wasn't spoilt for me.

I know - finished mine Sunday evening.
And to echo Scott's comment - reading the last page first is both naughty and bad.
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.

Oh, it is not
Reading the last page gives one a tasty morsel to contemplate. You linear people are so rigid. Mix it up a little bit. Go wild :-)
I havent finished it yet. I dont want it to be over so I'm rationing chapters to make it last.

Re: I know who died. Not quite who everyone thought.
My wife is reading it right now... she's going to be giving it up to my son when he's done with a few chores.
So he's inside, doing stuff, she's outside, reading. I walk inside and tell him, "Your mom just said that Hermione dies in the first chapter. Can you believe it??" And then I walked upstairs.
Muah.

I finally started reading
After a full day of festival going, yard work and other chores. I was so happy. And you know what I did? I got 1/2 way into the first chapter and I *FELL ASLEEP*! I just woke up. I'm such a loser. Disgraceful.

Dont read the link until you finished the book!
Contains spoilers [link|http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19959323/|http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19959323/]
I bookmarked it and waited to read until until I had finished. JK gives some additional follow up that wasnt in the book.
