Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Sure, if you *want* to piss her off and never see her again.
If she's anywhere around the age you've indicated the ladies you're looking for should be, and if by 'accent' you mean she's likely to have grown up in the Fatherland, then I don't think she'll see that as very funny at all. Not on a first date, at least.

Ah, the Germans: Masters of Convoluted Simplification. — [link|http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/?p=1603|Jehovah]
New You Germans are so literal . . .
. . even if you do live in Finland. Be aware that I am not unaware of nor insensitive to realities, but I can also handle absurdities.

New {{chortle}}

New So right off I checked her for sense of humor.
After introductions and sitting down for lunch.

Me, very serious expression and voice, "I'm a little confused, you say you're an Aerospace Engineer."

"Yes, I am."

"I always thought aerospace had pilots, and engineers were only for trains."

She got that it was a joke instantly and thought it was funny, so we're OK there.

New Sehr gut! :-)
New Luck!
I never did well with those engineers.
New Well, I was one - in one of my several past lives . . .
. . 35 years ago or so, so I can speak the language. She does stuff very similar to what I did back then but with an engineering degree. I was a Manufacturing Engineer (can't call myself that any more because I wasn't doing that kind of work and didn't get grandfathered when the certification law took effect).

Anyway, women engineers are (fortunately) a bit different from the men (see Alice (fist of death) in Dilbert). I can't put up with the male ones for very long.

She seems nice, but we haven't done the post meeting probes yet so I can't tell if anything will come of it - but it only cost $22 and I got a good lunch out of it.
