I just made it home myself.
about 1:15PM
Made good time, left Beep's about 1PM, got to Cleveland about 8PM.
Left this morning about 8:30AM, made good time.
Michigan State cops were out in force. The were shooting people from overpasses. Truck in front of me and behind me got it. Two shooters.
I just happen to be close enough to the front one to not register. Two unmarked and "integrated" lights state trooper cars pulled them over.
There was absolutely NO indication these cars were cops, the plates were not regular "Law enforcement" plates and the flashers were completely integrates into the turn-signals, the rear wing, the outside mirrors and molded into a front and back roof attachment.
The cops had about 20 people pulled over and had about 10 trooper cars on the on-ramp.

I had my 'day in DC' yesterday.
It was very very tiring, but very good. It was a long walk, but I'm glad I made the walk to the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam War Memorial. If there's one thing Australians understand, it is war memorials.
If I'd had several days, I'd have visited lots more of the Smithsonians, but the Air and Space Museum was good if you have to pick just one.

Maybe
But we still had the rest of the trip to get through, and with the kid's crying and other associated drama, and differing opinions on how to address the problems, we had a most unpleasant trip.
It certainly wasnt like band camp.
Ya shoulda had your fun.
