Back when I was still in the medical dodge, late 70's, they still treated narrow angle glaucoma by making an incision in the edge of the cornea and snipping a little hole in the iris. It had a very high level of success then. It sounds like the process has become a lot safer and less invasive. I'm sure it will work out well for you. It's much less of a risk than just relying on drops.
