Re: What does your taste in music say about you?
92 %\tenjoys reflective and complex music 81 %\tenjoys edgy and aggressive music 74 %\tenjoys fun and simple music 4 %\tenjoys energetic and upbeat music
Was interesting to read through their analysis. I love energetic and upbeat rock, pop, praise songs, etc - but dislike most electronica, hip-hop and rap - which appear to be the only categories they deem energetic and upbeat. (shhh, don't tell Ozzy!)

Yep - odd boxes
I maxed on Funk and Soul - not so much on Rap or Electronica - more likely a function of being a musician - that stuff doesn't seem like proper music to me (or - most probably, you).
But I like energetic music so I moved the fake music sliders to middlin' and get:
78 %\tenjoys reflective and complex music 81 %\tenjoys edgy and aggressive music 4 %\tenjoys fun and simple music 75 %\tenjoys energetic and upbeat music
Which is funny because I like most pop - but don't care for religious (other than black gospel - once saw Patti Labelle in "Your Arms Too Short To Box With God" in Detroit - only white boy there), most country (but I like funny/novelty country like Jerry Reed or red neck rap like CW McCall), or soundtracks unless it is a musical - like Hair or Little Shop of Horrors or something.
I like/appreciate all music that is well done.

True dat
I like/appreciate all music that is well done. Other than folk, I like just about anything that's well done. And I accept the possibility that I might like good folk ... if there were any good folk.

Springsteen's versions are pretty good.
We saw his [link|http://www.usatoday.com/life/music/news/2006-06-06-springsteen_x.htm|Seeger Sessions] show last year. [link|http://www.amazon.com/We-Shall-Overcome-Seeger-Sessions/dp/B000EU1PNC|Amazon] has samples from the album.
Cheers, Scott. (Who finds it hard to find much recent music of any genre that he likes.)

There's plenty of good folk
but you have to go look for it, 'cause you sure aren't going to get it on the radio.

If I had a hammer...
...there'd be no more folk singers.
The quiz was arse, mainly because its categorisations are complete toss. I listen to Qntal, for example, which is ancient music (i.e. simple/fun) but with an electronic twist (i.e. upbeat/energetic). Oh noes! What is it?

Yes.
I like/appreciate all music that is well done. I tend to, too, which is why I like some of the pop stuff. The blog I got it from is written by a classical music fan and [link|http://www.lynnspace.com/b2/index.php?m=200703#4143|she pointed out] that the writers of the quiz 'assumes that all classical music is "reflective"' which is just not true. I personally don't have much classical, but I can immediately think of half-a-dozen pieces from several prominent composers which are quite energetic. Wade.
