Huh? What's LRPD-worthy about that?
It's like "Jason's ship was named Argos", or any other such factoid from ancient myth. "Alexander's horse was named Bucefalos", hooray, make it an LRPD!

Here are a few more:
"The sky is blue."
"Grass is green."
I mean, maybe you didn't know that either?
Sheesh.

knowledge of Norse mythology is not common

"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from." -- E.L. Doctorow

Oh, for ...... sake - since effing when?
The whole "informative lrpds" line is pure bullshit. (Sorry, my bad for not spelling that out in terms simple enough for you two in the first place.)
You just made that up to cover for Linc's ignorance. Since fucking when are LRPDisms pointless factoids?!? If there are any that are no more, then they're probably LRPDisms by mistake, having been nominated in the same fucking ignorance that Linc's displaying here.
Anyway, stupidity is not exactly the greatest of covers for ignorance.

There are no standards for acceptance, nor for denial.
Purely factual LRPDs may be accepted if they become sufficiently amusing when taken out of context, for example.
I don't wish to discourage *any* kind of quote from being suggested, as I never know which ones will receive the blessing of the great GRR.

So now I'm "ignorant"?
because I'm not well-versed in Norse mythology?
Are you knowledgeable in American Indian Cherokee mythology, or are you just "ignorant"?
I thought that it was an interesting thing to learn, something that I never knew before, and figured that a majority of the members here also didn't know it.
Boxley is correct in that we have factual LRPDs, and Admin will make the final decision whether this joins the other LRPDs.
