Hellion?
I just got Pumpkin spayed. She had an infection so I have to give her 2 droplets full of antibiotic a day. I make sure I only attempt this while wearing leather work gloves.

Heh - the one she 'replaced' was like that
when in distress - and she only weighed 4.5 lbs. Big dogs were afraid of HER.
This one destroys things. Electronics, glassware, anything remotely fragile (for some reason she stays away from the guitar, though - self-preservation?). She also 'played' with my other cat so hard that he (a Bengal!) had scabs all over... At least THAT has ended - he's had enough, and ended the 'free pass for kittens' apparently. When he lashes back, I don't stop him - she needs to learn, and quite frankly, she's not the brightest bulb in the pack...

The gloves weren't tough enough
4 deep puncture wounds on my hand from a bite. Anybody want a cat? Free to a (like I give a shit what type) home. You sure?

Catnip?
You need to be careful about bites like that. I know of a couple of people who had to have surgery after deep cat bites. (One had to have a tendon in his hand removed and replaced with a piece of teflon; another was in the hospital for a few days with a bad infection.)
Best of luck.
Cheers, Scott.

Great
I washed with hot soapy water, but it's not like you really get the soap deep down. Then I newskinned.
I guess if it starts to swell I'll call the doc fast.

Do that..
Years ago, a visiting ill-mannered dog scared my SO's cat under fridge. In trying to retrieve her, P. was bitten deep into hand (she was terrified; otherwise a sweet cat). By that evening there was swelling.. much Much worse: beginning of the tell-tale red striations along arm, of ~'blood poisoning'.
Emergency-room time (this was before they were jammed 24/7.) Dr. said, "You got here in time; had you waited another 24 hours ... {Baad = listed possibilities.} If it were my family, I'd recommend she stay overnight.."
We settled for this being one of those cases for which antibiotics were meant to be used. Lots of Penicillin-G worked.
YMMV, but a deep puncture wound evades the effective surface containment barriers; toxins circulate, making it impossible for the T-cells to concentrate effectively - on a local area.
Luck
