Yeah. I 'm worried about that.
I asked her how long it had been in her ear and how/why it ended up there.
"I dont know", she said.
This is also the same kid who folded a 2" foam rubber disc in half like a diaphragm and shoved it way up her nose. I pulled it out with forceps and couldnt believe she got something that big up her nose. She is very interested in the human body. I think she views her experiments as research.
Sigh. We'll be making a trip to the pediatrician after school.

And just how old is she?

Taxidermist, perhaps.
There is, after all, a reason people say you shouldn't poke anything smaller than your elbow into your ear.

She is 7
Hopefully she will be a doctor. Someone needs to support me in my old age!
A few Christmas's ago I bought her the "Visible Man"
[link|http://www.hobbytron.com/human-body-model-visible-man.html|http://www.hobbytron...-visible-man.html]
She named him Bob and spent hours yanking his organs out and putting them back in. Then we lost most of his parts and poor Bob died.

Saved it from college. I saved all my text books.
It's Gray's Anatomy, btw. Grey's Anatomy is the TV show (which I looove)

Sounds like she's well prepared for marriage.

"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from." -- E.L. Doctorow

You know, that's not a bad idea
She can work for DMORT

Bagging 'em and stacking 'em while I'll do the psychological first aid with the survivors. We can open up our own shop! We'll make it a family business.
I shoulda stuck with pre-med when I was an undergrad. I'd be making a lot more money and having a lot more fun doing the forensics- much more fun than listening to people blather on and on.

Oh silly, of course I like your bathering!
But these days I'm feeling like I'd rather be picking through someone's guts instead of their brain.
