I hear ya, brother
Spent 2 hours last night trying to access my Outlook email. Even called in for some technical support. I was a ranting, frustrated lunatic. Fuckity fuck fuck. Why cant stuff work how it is supposed to? Is that asking too much? No. I think not.

You need to use Thunderbird.
Its not quite the same interface, but at least it doesn't BLOW UP your mailbox... at least not until it gets to about 10GB in size.

I downloaded it last night
But then I got Outlook working and havent had a chance to really look at Tbird yet. I dont have time to be fiddling with this stuff. I just need it work, dammit!

It does what I need it to do
and I'm not easy on my scheduling/email needs.
Mind you, I won't ever use it for my personal needs....EVAH...but hooked up to the corp servers and doing corp business and schedule/task maintenance...its ok. It kicks the shit out of Lotus Notes.

I can't bring myself to say it. Ugh. That application may have had other things it was good at, but e-mail was NOT one of them.

The search is ass
My biggest complaint about the dog is it prevents using your email box as a diary/todo list because the search is slow, misses stuff, and incomprehensibly starts with the oldest emails first when its more likely that the thing you want is more recent.
The other truly sucky thing is the way it hides real email addresses when forwarding messages.
