Your story is why I don't like supporting Windows.

I will run it when I have to for myself, but I don't like supporting it for someone else. I find it too stressful. I did the least I could reasonably get away with on my wife's laptop. She never even let me try her out on stuff like OpenOffice, let alone a full Linux install.
