See, this is why so many of us have a problem with the right
They seem to think that if we have large disagreements with how the right is running the show, that we must agree with the 'terrorists'. Oversimplification, neat.

the enemy indicates it has recruitment goals that need to be met. How does that translae into the left will supply those goals as suggested by your post?

I was somewhat facetiuos.
I would not really say that the people here would just go and fight alongside AQ. But, if you listen to rethorics coming from that corner long enough, it's hard not to think that at least some people there would be happy to strike a blow at the hated Ashcroftian Murderers. And AQ is an enemy of the enemy. Tempting.

You are also a bit confused
The best thing that could happen for AQ is to keep the current crowd in power. Why would they want to risk somone competent getting in.

You're right
I was somewhat oversimplifying too. However, there is a group on the right wing that is definitely using the politics of divide and conquer so they can hold on to their power and continue their pillage of both the world at large and the american taxpayer via their control of and interests in that good ol' military industrial complex.
And Arkadiy, they are murderous; they have to keep the killing going to justify the continued pillage. The fact that they don't do all of it themselves doesn't mean they don't have a strong strong interest in seeing it continue for as long as possible.
