New wall street journal weighs in on the upcoming elections

The 109th Congress has gone home to fight for re-election, and the best testament to its accomplishments is that very few Republicans are running on them. They're running instead against the peril to the country if the Nancy Pelosi Democrats take power.

New Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Oscar?
The best thing about this Congress is that by doing little at least it did little harm.
What I want to know is what...

Oh hell, you already know what I want to know.

Republicans also deserve credit for financing the war, which is more than many Democrats say they'll do if they run Capitol Hill. The extension for two more years, through 2010, of the 15% rate on dividends and capital gains will also help sustain the economic growth that is throwing off record revenues to pay for the war even as the budget deficit declines.
Does. Not. Compute.

You forgot to include all the revenue being thrown off, is being donated to the the Government to pay for the war and reduce the deficite.

You see, th Gummint prints more money to pay for stuff, then the companies "donate" it right back to the Gummint so as to hide the $36 Billion/Quarter profits they are gathering.

New The Bizarro World of the WSJ
I replicate the boxter's link:

[link|http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110009026|http://www.opinionjo...html?id=110009026]

Read it. Sweet fucking Jesus Christ on a sandpaper-coated popsicle stick, read it. You will learn that Oedipus Tex and his handlers have got it right on the following issues:

+Roberts & Alito
+Iraq
+Torture legislation
+Bankruptcy act
+"Class-action reform"
+"some free-trade agreements"

Alas, the plutocracy is dissatisfied with:

-failure to make tax cuts permanent
-failure to repeal estate tax
-failure on "immigration reform" (You fools! Playing to the nativists!)
-failure to abolish, ah, cough-cough, reform SS.

Sorry, but in the vanishingly unlikely event that I'm in a position to influence these things after the revolution, the WSJ editorial board goes right up against the wall.

cordially,
Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist.

"So don't pay attention to the approval ratings that say 68% of Americans disapprove of the job this man is doing. I ask you this, does that not also logically mean that 68% approve of the job he's not doing? Think about it. I haven't."
Stephen Colbert, at the White House Correspondent's Dinner 29Apr06
New You don't have to be faster than the bear...
... just faster than your buddy with a knife in his back.
Have whatever values you have. That's what America is for.
You don't need George Bush for that.
