I did something like that as a contractor once. Gave them a two week notice even though the contract I was working under was expiring just before the end date. They had me signing such contracts every few months for two and half years!

Anyway, they may go bonkers when they realize they don't hold all cards! :)

That is why they systematically stripped all responsibility from me, because I was not part of the "in" crowd and was considered a flight risk.

But their actions triggered the flight, since they crippled my productivity and made sure I was directed by an incompetent ex-programmer.

I was perfectly willing to give it my all, and they essentially spit in my face.

So it was a self-fulfilling prophecy.
