Woo, another web comic!
I already read Friendly Hostility, but I hadn't seen Questionable Content yet. That's a really good one! I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard at some of them (like the headbutt to the junk and lap barf)... I'm almost caught up now. It's very consistently good.
I like to watch how comics change as the artist matures. [link|http://www.goats.com|Goats] is another one like that. Compare the first and last comic to see.

These are so me. I'm hooked on this strip.
This is a typical conversation with my boss:

Thise is a typical exchange with any recent love interest:

I'm hooked
I've only gone about 2/3rds through the archive so far. Some need several rereads to get the full effect.

I've gotten through the whole thing.
I actually wrote the artist a fan email, which I don't do often. Very good stuff.

My family couldn't find me for most of the day yesterday.
I was holed up in my "sanctuary" reading QC. Funny. Funny. Funny! Reminds me of my younger days when I was smarmy.

Your younger days when you were smarmy
Are the days I'm living right now. Does that make me smarmy? Or maybe just a toast-eating floozy?

I could never think of you as a

Shameless hussy? Sarcastic wench?
Well.. maybe if provoked. Or awake (or sleeping.)

That is why, when a gentleman asks:
"I was wondering if you would like to join me in my quarters this night... for some toast."
I always decline.
Even when the shameless hussy in me says, "Oh go on, you like toast!"

Stretchy pants and toast
A deadly combination!
Because, as you know, beneath the clothes, you find a man... and beneath the man you find... his nucleus.

What a novel and descriptive use of the term. Accurate too.
Lot's of guys tend to let their nucleus do their thinking.
