It has several buttons on the front. If you push one of them, it'll make a "copy" of what's on the glass and send it to the printer with little, if any, other action on your part. It also has done fine with color scans I've done, but to be honest I've probably only used it 10 times since I bought it (don't need to very often).

I'm not sure what the differences are between the 3 models that [link|http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?DEPA=0&type=&Description=lide&Submit=ENE&Ntk=all&N=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0|newegg] has other than the price. The $44 one might be fine.
