Welcome to IWETHEY!

New I was there that day...
...that day being 7/7/2006, not the day of the bombings. I was fortunate to have two days in London at the end of my recent work trip. It was noticeably quieter on the Friady, particularly in the morning. But I, like so many other peoples, happily rode the tube all over the city. Or, as the newspapers stated it, 'defiantly'. I'm inclined to agree. I mean, it's not my city, but I really felt for its residents that day, and walked around with, I dunno, a sense of pride that, although a little quieter, it was definitely business as usual.
London, by the way, is an absolutely beautiful, wonderful, vibrant city and I cannot wait to retun for a proper look around.
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
New Defiant pride
I remember the defiant pride and patriotism we all felt over here after 9/11. You couldnt buy an American flag anywhere. Stores couldnt keep them in stock.
Dont see much of that pride these days. Very sad.
