Turns out it's the infamous and highly illegal (alive) Snakehead. More on snaky later this evening - and a completely rewriten and rephotoed Catfish section (scored a walking catfish (also a controlled species) earlier in the week and a 6-1/2 pound channel cat today).

. . working 4 or 5 new fish a week, it looks almost another two months before I run out.
