We almost missed it ourselves!
I had been behind in newspapers for weeks, due to finishing up stuff for the reunion, so I heard about it late, and tracked the book down even later.
It left first run theaters that same Friday, so we thought we wouldn't get to see it, but I was happily surprised to learn it went to the budget theaters that same night. That's unusual, so I was really excited that I got to see it and didn't have to wait for it on DVD.
And the paper reviews (I'm slowly catching up), say that Jimmy Buffet has a cameo, but I never saw him. Of course, I don't really know much about how he looks, only that my brother's band plays Parrothead music, which is essentially, Jimmy Buffet-type music.
I don't think I would like Over The Hedge, but I don't know. I'm not real big on the animated movies where the animals talk, not really. I prefer the movies where the animals are real, and in Hoot, that was the case, and they don't do weird things. Originally I thought March Of The Penguins had the animals talking, but I think I've realized now that wasn't the case. So I'll probably see it on DVD sometime, but it never grabbed my attention like Hoot did.
