What a beautiful, glorious day!
The rain has finally stopped, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, the neighborhood is buzzing, my headache is gone, I feel good, the kids are behaving, my coffee is perfect and we are going to buy flowers to plant today. It is going to be a good day.

Heavy rain here this morning, followed by some sunshine (enough to mow the lawn), and now back to some light rain.
Really needed to get the lawn mowed. I'm paying to get it done in June and July and don't want it grossly overgrown before that. My wife and I are pulling up stakes tomorrow for a couple months of travel in the motor home, mostly "out West". This will be a new high for the number of days of close quarters togetherness! :) We'll hit some National Parks, historic sites, visit some folks we know, etc. Initially, we'll be heading West along I-40.
As possible, I'll check in here. I'll be mostly relying on a Verizon cell phone connection, so there will be many internet blackout days. If I'm silent on May 28th, someone please wish Maggie (slugbug) a happy birthday.

Yep, I am.
Did the Carlsbad Caverns Natioal Park yesterday. Stayed at a near by State Park (Brantley Lake) where it was 105.3 degrees in the shade on Friday. Incidently, Brantley Lake is nothing but the dammed Pecos River. :)
I'm in Alamogorgo today.
