That reminds me of a point in my youth.
I was always twisting my ankles after I had a growth spurt in puberty. A doctor measured my legs and said that one was a little longer than the other. (I had some X-rays taken of my leg and back too, for completeness, but nothing seemed amiss.) We didn't do anything about it, and I eventually developed a much better sense of balance to catch myself if/when I do stumble.
Have you had things like that checked? It may be that there's a biomechanical (or whatever) reason for your apparent propensity for stumbling and maybe different shoes, etc., will help.
Either way, I hope you heal quickly and are up and dancing the jig again soon. Take care! :-)
Cheers,
Scott.
