Nuked until I glow
Well, I underwent the new "standard" cardiolite imaging stress test today to ensure that my timex is still ticking and will continue to do so.
The one positive so far (test results aren't completely back) is that they didn't immediately strap me to a gurney and run me across the street to the hospital. I'd say thats a plus.
However, I think a med modification may be in my future..as my resting heart rate and bp sans coffee at 7:45am was 54 and 90/65. Thats a bit lower than even my cardio guy wants to see. It went up to the standard 100/70 later...I think my dosage of the blockers may be reduced somewhat.
Here's to the possibility of fewer drugs!!! Here Here.

Improvement is good news!
I think that again you'll be able to have a burger at your own party. :-)

I think it is July 1 this year
So I was thinking that I'd fly out June 30, go to the party, visit my sister (who was miffed to miss me last year), then fly back July 4.
Haven't run that past my family though.

Dang, that's gonna be a long party!
You seem to have missed the start of it, though.

Not sure how that can happen, but I'll think about it.
BTW I tried emailing you a while ago and found that your address changed. Can you email btilly at Google's email?
Thanks, Ben

Re: What exactly is that test?
Cardiolite Stress Test. You are injected with radioactive substance...so your blood glows when they take the MRI of your heart. They then make you sit till it all mixes up. Then you get on the machine and they take the first set of pictures. Then you sit. Then they put you on a treadmill until you can't go anymore...while taking blood pressure and heart readings.
Then once they run you into the ground...you go back on the machine for more pictures.
Find out Monday if I have any new areas of blockage and/or any scarring from the last incident. Scarring is likely...just so it doesn't block anything...cause that means bypass.

Oh. That doesnt sound like much fun.
Hope Monday brings good news. You're much too young to have to think about bypass surgery. :-(

Might be too young...
but the lifespan of a stent is finite...so I know I will be dealing with it at some point.

If necessary, you'll be fine.
My Grandpa had a quadruple bypass when he was ~ 85. He did fine.
But here's hoping it's not necessary for you for a good long time. :-)
Cheers, Scott.
