Question for CRC or anybody who remembers Paradox
Client is using Paradox 8. Has 4 dates in the table. All set as "D" field type. He created a report with the 4 dates. Set the format for the dates as the insurance company wanted DD^MM^YY (^ = space). 3 dates show up correctly. 4th data (DOB) always has the 4 digit year. I have moved field. Reformatted report. Restructured the table to no avail. Same result.
But I cannot duplicate it on my system (Paradox 10).
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Joe

It's a paradox...

Random guess
Does the DOB field include a Y2K crossover date that would conflict with a more recent date? While the others don't? Which would mean Paradox is keeping you from shooting yourself in the foot.

Give the man a cigar
That did it. I have Paradox 8 on my laptop for support and when I tried it there I got the same results. Changed dates to 19xx and displayed 4 digit year. Changed back to 20xx and back to 2 digit.
Guess I'll be upgrading them to at least Paradox 10.
Thank you thank you thank you.

No I don't
Last year I brought my box'o'cigars, smoked'em all, and haven't refilled yet. I will, when it gets warm out, since I smoke outside.

I used Paradox at version 3
But I don't remember it. Thankfully.
The editor was so bad that I used the onEdit script hook to fire a Paradox script that emulated vi. Yes, it was THAT bad. No search. No search and replace. Nada. At least with the hook I could emulate that stuff in my script.
