Feds attempt to sieze defendants gold teeth
[link|http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060407/ap_on_fe_st/grillz_1|Yahoo.com] Talk about taking a bite out of crime \ufffd government lawyers tried to remove and confiscate the gold dental work known as grillz from the mouths of two men facing drug charges. Pretty funny, but apparently all a misunderstanding. The prosecuters thought the defendants gold teeth where the snap on kind, so seizing them would be simple. The federal marshals took the prosecuters request litterally and found a dentist who would cut the bonded caps out. Jay

Did you see the picture?

Then I went and googled a bit. I'm so out of touch.

Latest rap stupidity
It's the latest rap stupidity. People getting dental work that costs thousands because they have gold, platinum and jewels mounted in the teeth. It is essentially what you get when you combine the 'bling-bling' mentality with the old 'gold tooth pimp' idea.

Yep...
...And I bet there are dental workers (are they full-fledged dentists?) makin' boatloads of green installing them, too.

Even better
According to one of the links I posted -- yes, I read it, it's fascinating like a train wreck -- what they do is ... eh, read it yourself. The first step in building your grill is to make a wax impression of your teeth. TV jewelry will mail you a kit, at which point you make the mold yourself and then mail it back to Johnny and co. They then cover the mold with an investment solution and place it in an oven at 1,600 degrees. Five hours later, the impression is removed and is ready for the casting process, when the precious metal is poured into the hardened tooth mold. In 15 minutes the metal solidifies, and a rough version of the fronts is ready to be filed and shined. If the buyer has decided to add gemstones, holes are drilled into the gold and the gems are handset. At that point, the grill is finished and shipped back to the purchaser.

Suckers come in all styles.
I wonder; If I put together enough jargon, could I sell a treatment that consisted of wrapping your dick in gold plated barbed wire?
You know. To impress the ladies.
