Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Big wind last night - and continuing.
Certainly not the strongest I've seen, but 70 mph gusts are still respectable. I had to get up at midnight to shut down computers and turn off the alarms on the UPSs when the power went out.

Fortunately I'd just turned up the water bed so it was nice and toasty. It was getting just a bit cool when the power came back on at 4:00 am.

Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.

New Well, the Peruvian tripe and potatoes . . .
. . was fairly effective, but not nearly sufficient to blow over the 18 wheeler featured on the LA Times front page this morning.

I understand the "Breakfast of Champions" is Jerusalem artichokes (now commonly known as "sunchokes") but I haven't tried them recently. Will "report" when I do.
