Welcome to IWETHEY!

New fun little exercise
[link|http://mensa-test.com/|mensa test] not affiliated with Mensa, cultural bias etc...

I scored 25. I answered 19 fairly easily, the next 6 took a while.
Have fun,
Carl Forde
New 23 so far. I'm usually terrible at these types of things...
I'm slow. I'm quitting here (for now at least).

Somehow, I don't think that 19 is a genius score....

Cheers,
Scott.

New Except for the typos...
A good number of very similar religious phrases too.

32. Looked one up because I couldn't remember the exact terms (#31), and I couldn't get #28, although after looking at the answer I probably should have. :-P

New 17 without trying *too* much
Losing interest now though. Suspect there's a bunch of religious references I won't get.

New Not really.
Only 3 so far; it's just that they're all pretty much the same damn thing.

"Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson..."
New Noticed that
Got one of them, suddenly I'm at 21. Then quit. I checked the answers and found four or five that I really should have known, and some I never would have.
Like I have any idea how many people on a rugby or soccer team. Or how many provinces in South Africa. Or a damn thing about Crickett. Chyeah, right.

Oh. Guess I should have read the FAQ.

Gonna email him about the typo too.

"Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson..."

He mentions that in the faq.

New Pedant ... and this is *me* saying that
But since we're going down this road, should it be before or after the 's'?

"Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson..."
New How do you do a phrase search?
Or do you mean MW dead tree version?

He's going to be fixing the typo tomorrow, btw.

"Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson..."
New Ahh, M-W doesn't find it without the apostrophe
I'd call that a shortcoming in their "near match" spelling system.

New Brainiac++!
New Some of them were sheer guesses.

New Brainiac! :-D
New Pretty sad! If only "Trivia" were a profession
I'd be rich!

New Maybe there'll be a US version of "The Enemy Within"
Our ultra-creative TV executives are probably scheming to copy this show too - keep an eye out and maybe try out for it.

[link|http://www.bbcamerica.com/genre/movies_specials/the_enemy_within/the_enemy_within.jsp|The Enemy Within]. I saw a few minutes of it today. It's pretty UK-centric, but a big part of it was rapid-fire, wide-ranging trivia questions. You seem to have excellent intuition as well, so you'd probably clean up!

Cheers,
Scott.

New I eagerly await my chance at fame :-)

New I should.
Make all that trivia pay for itself!

Peace,
Amy

New It just times out... :-( They're probably afraid of me. :-)
New Still works here. FWIW.
[link|http://www.web-goddess.org/archive.php/postID/2878|Here] is another copy (with some answers in the comments). There are also similar versions out there, many with all the answers.

HTH!

Cheers,
Scott.
New Answers?!? Feh & Bah! How could I honestly beat y'all then?
New With a stick? A lead pipe? A lemur with rigor mortis? :-)

If your role can be replaced by Keanu Reeves miming walking into a non-existent wall, then you probably need to go back to waiting tables at the Ground Round--make that the homeless shelter.
