For the last time...
(Real) AUSTRALIANS DON'T DRINK FOSTERS!
Thank you, goodnight.
Funny ad though. At various stages in life I've looked like both those people :)

Budvar
Or, as it's known Stateside, Czechvar. It's the original Busweiser, and much better to boot. Look it up; you won't be disappointed.

I will happily spend that and more for anything from Fullers

No.
By agreement with Anheiser Bush they don't use "Bud" in the U.S. so Czechvar it is here.

Czechvar review
Grabbed a 6-pak of Czechvar, on recent trip to local Joe's.
Taste: cheek(y), jowls and a bit of spleen-y; sucker's got Bodd-ee. (After)-taste: Beer-y, and I mean that in the sense of hops, not Bud-soap.
Buzz: hmm, no near-beer Here.
Passed on a bottle to neighbor; his review awaits.
As an only occasional beer drinker (there are some things that just Gotta be had - with a beer. But.. not many) - I deem Bud-Czechvar to be close enough for my relatively undiscerning beer-taste buds to:
(Or at least reminiscent of) such treasured moments as, Old Manx Ale (On! the Isle of Man; talk aboutcher Atmosphere influencing your critic-ness) and (though this is 'light' in appearance) - close enough to the Darks which I have found, usually preferable. I add that I've tasted few microbrews.. a laxity which probably renders this review as meaningless as a Bush fireside-chat on Diversity, Tolerance and Integrity...
Easily worth a buck a pop, considering what Murican horse piss goes for. Probably will grab another, find an excuse for a suitable food-type thing to match it with; see how that mix goes.

From observation...
The beer of choice when something is desired without being fussy is usually Tooheys or VB.

Foster's is nearly undrinkable . . .
. . but I tried some stuff from New Zealand called "Broken Hill" that was even worse.
