Welcome to IWETHEY!

New For what?
I don't keep my MP3s on the player, just a selection. And there's no way I could listen to 30G of songs between trips away from the house.

I've got about 100G of MP3s anyways, so from that standpoint *everything* is too small. :-)
Regards,

-scott anderson

New For me
I can't choose - don't make me choose among my babies - must have whole collection available at all times.

"Whenever you find you are on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect"   --Mark Twain

"The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them."   --Albert Einstein

"This is still a dangerous world. It's a world of madmen and uncertainty and potential mental losses."   --George W. Bush
New Agreed.
Mind you, I periodically cull the stuff I Just Don't Listen To, so I tend to keep my music collection hovering around the 20G point, which just fits nicely on my 20G colour iPod.

Use P2P for legitimate purposes!
New About the same here
I use Smart Playlists to control what's on my 20GB iPod based on when a song was last played.

New Same problem. Everything is too small
Besides, I find myself going through phases. Currently, Kansas from first release through AudioVisions with the addition of the solo work of Steve Walsh. Now, along with that comes the other "related" music of the time..which is generally the stuff that I listened to when Leftoverture and Point of Know Return were released.

In another week, I might be on another Pink Floyd kick based on the DVD that was passed on to me of a really great live show of David Gilmour...so that would take me off to the land of Roger Waters solo and all of the Rich Wright stuff, including the stuff he produces...blah blah blah.

Also, I have a group of radio friends that is keeping me current on the independent label "college radio" stuff.

So, I have the 20G basic player and I cycle things in and out as appropriate. Having 3000-5000 songs at your disposal generally means you always have something to listen to. (besides, Diana Krall is ALWAYS on the pod...she's dreamy and Elvis is one lucky ugly sumbeech)
If you push something hard enough, it will fall over. Fudd's First Law of Opposition
