Had a major brain fart when getting dressed.
I simply could not see the jacket.
I saw it the night before.
It is enclosed in a purple zippered plastic warp.
It is hanging in my closet.
But about an hour before I went to bed, I tried on a few suits.
I can now wear 2 that I couldn't 3 years ago.
And I ended pushing stuff around on the hangers.
Which squished the suits up against it.
So the next morning, in my rush, I was unable to see the jacket.
I was a bit freaked, thinking I must have taken it downstairs, and put it in the closet to prep, but it wasn't there.
The next step would be to start blaming family members, which would definitely cross into insane, so I simply held off.
I have a multi-color silk sports jacket. Matches everything and nothing, it light enough to wear at anytime, and cuts the wind a bit. I ended up wearing that.
I also have a pair of glasses that I use for distance. If I wear them when not watching a movie or driving at night, it is strictly for effect. Worked well.
Had a very good meeting.
At the end, the guy leading it (salesguy) said something I did not agree with, which was perfect since the guy really in-charge was pushing for something I wanted. Which allowed me to vocalize my opinion, supported well, and pushed us in a direction I wanted to go in.
As prep for the next step, we need to decide who was going to meet with the client. This is good for the project, and good for my career, but I don't want to seem pushy when people are "volunteering" to go. Especially since this is a very high level group of people, and I'm not management. As I stated why it was probably a good idea for me to go, multiple people cut me short and said "Of course you are going".
That settled that.
So then a mid-level manager stated he should go. He's new to that depeartment, he used to be in mine.
Why?
To look over my shoulder. That was the best he could come up with.
Hehehehehe.
