Is it just me?
Or is it much more dead here than it was over at EZBoard? Or is just nothing jumping right now? Or is everybody waiting for the hardware upgrade?
Or is it just that I am inthanely bored out of my gourd waiting for anything to happen, my first week on my new job? (Which I am spending for the most part cooling my heels in a room by myself, because the person I am replacing considers it below themselves to actually train me - another contractor, not a MS employee. And yes, I've told my boss about it.)

Maybe just the near-August doldrums :(
The little brilliance-bots have to go on vacation, recharge their maybe- circuits, find some nice mushrooms -- stick more ornate pins in the Billy n'Bally Doll Twinset (by Mattel).
Change the motorcycle oil.
Write an Oratorio.
Erase M$ referrers from all storage media.
Make salmon Wellington.
Practice Sounds from the Hudson with a good accompanist.

Ain't no cure for the summertime blues!

Bloody Hell!
This is really getting to me - I haven't had a real "vacation" since I got married. Yeah, we went to D.C. and ran ourselves silly all over the city for a week, went to Victoria, B.C. and ran ourselves silly for two days, and spent a week in Tahitit - you guessed it - running ourselves silly.
I want a vacation where I know that I can take my time, do it right, and NOT RUN MYSELF SILLY, DAMNIT!
That, and I don't get a vacation at all for about the next 2 years, due to a combination of finances and college.

Sounds like you need a vacation
where you just sit in the hotel room and read books and watch TV and relax, rather than running around to see stuff and running yourself silly.
Of course, no need to leave home to do that. :)
Parts of college are almost like a vacation if you attend parties and get boozed up on the weekends. That is, if someone else is buying the booze for you if your finances are bad. Just hope you don't have a final exam on Monday and have to take it with a hang-over. :)

well I think it is a combination
CRC is on vaca in Sweden. Maybe not all the crew has jumped ship yet and took the move to take a break. Some people are on vaca. I think it is time for Melrose to politely announce our existence on IWE after the hardware changout on Saturday. With the nice little caption (no adds).

As to IWE announcement - who will see it?

ie. I've never seen a 'site' left so long unposted-to, uninteresting-as -- and as un-attended as, InfotainmentWorld's has been! for er 4? 6? months.

It's now almost interesting as a Mystery! Kinda like watching a car-crash in slo-mo, rilly slo-mo? While everyone else is watchin another movie..

A quiet time.
I'm not the most prolific of posters at the best of times, but this past week, I've really not been around much - a funeral on Thursday, a four-day birthday party Friday through Monday, and Doggett's yesterday. And now I'm off to play with my new digital camera.
