New user alert!
Hi guys (and guyesses), Well, I'm not only alerting you as to a new user, I am the new user I'm alerting you about. Crickey, this could get very complicated very quickly (like my code)! The aforementioned alerting has come about due to Peter (pwhysall) threatening physical (yes physical) harm if I don't post a message in this Water Cooler. Well, here it is Peter!
I shall try to be brief so as not to bore you with statements such as trying to be brief and not boring you. D'OH! I currently work as a C++ Programmer in the North East of England. I have a few ideas on C++ and OOP and would like to share them amongst others - I am human also and like a laugh like anyone (perhaps more - please don't tell them Peter)!
I look forward to getting to know you...
Bri
BTW Surely the Water Cooler should be the Coffee Warmer (heater?) to make us programmers feel at home! Go on Scott, you know you want to change it!
You want my signature? Next you'll want my credit card details... Reminds me of my ex!

Moo!
Hoy, Bri!
Water cooler, coffee heater... whatever. ;-)
Actually, the water cooler at work is also a water heater for tea, so maybe you and Peter would feel more comfortable there after all...

Better to call it "The Pub".

McSally on FM - NPR_____ Where else?
Damn well not on McNBC or other McCorp newsfotainment..
Just heard her being interviewed. Spoke clearly and sanely, pretty much reiterating the points already thrashed out here.
Said she is a Christian, referred to the religious aspect of the matter. Either she or reporter mentioned that, even the Saudis do not require vistors to wear bags: it is purely an artifice of the US military. Mentioned 5 senators hassling defense folks over the matter. She has received letters from peers, also above and below.. most supportive - and a few quite not.
Obviously well aware of 'good manners', when in Rome yada yada. But (in her words) "this undermines my authority , ability to lead - and is humiliating". (ie riding around in the back of a jeep covered in a sack..).
May she live long and prosper, and some generals get asses kicked (while wearing an abeya for the punishment). The cowards.
Ashton

Allright, see you on Theory And Practice of Programming for reality reintrodution and deprogramming.
