...from when we met when you were up here last year, Box, I thought you were living in Alaska.
Now, of course, I know that you're in Florida, and have been there for a while. However, it speaks volumes (either about your mode of thinking or my inability to pay attention) that I didn't know you were in Florida.
It seems to me that you want to be back in Alaska, deep down. As others have mentioned, the inmates (kids) aren't running the asylum. Your wife is from Alaska; I'm assuming she's got family up there. You seemed to enjoy your time there, as you speak fondly of it often.
I'm not saying jump in with both feet before you know up from down on this job...But if you can get a reasonable guarantee on a few issues that are important to you and your wife (whatever they may be; job stability, length-of-contract guarantees, etc...), then it sounds like it's worth a shot.
