We have purchased a bag of high-fructose corn syrup-laden goodness each year since, but there have been no takers. OK, so that first time out we repackaged Ex-Lax as bite-sized Hershey's thingums. It was a joke, for chrissake. Some people got no sensa humor. trickily, Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist.

Surprisingly there were more Hispanics than Koreans - I didn't even know we had Hispanics around here. Of course there were no white kids at all. The white parents pack all their kids into a huge convoy of school buses to be hauled off to "safe organized Halloween activities" somewhere, I don't know where. This year I live in an alley. Total of 0 kids. Even the neighbour's kid didn't show up. I'm somewhat miffed about that actually. That's a far cry from the 200 or so that normally come by. I brought the left over candy to work and tossed it in the community candy jar.
