Welcome to IWETHEY!

New They declare themselves 'Christians' . . .
. . quote the Bible and act "in the name of Jesus", so the majority moderate Christians dare not speak against them - that would be anti-Christian.

In fact the majority Christians probably question if their faith is deep enough when they hear the ravings of the radical right and see their political success.

These people are not Christians. They have no concept of the teachings of Jesus. They are more comfortable with the primitive blood drenched authoritarianism of the Old Testament.

The Old Testament is not Christian. Where does it have the blessing of Jesus? It was tacked on to justify an authoritarian church and the murder of heritics. Much of it is "revisionist history" written to justify the aggressive ambitions of certain Judaic kings - and to justify slaughter of their neighbors.

It's high time those (mythical?) "real Christians" tossed that abomination in the dumpster - or they're going to be living and dying by it's worst implications.

New Mythical, huh?
If you mythical non-christians would have gotten off your butts and voted against W, we wouldn't be in this mess. I guess too many of you tacitly support the radical right's goals, though. If you REALLY exist, that is.

Imric's Tips for Living
  • Paranoia Is a Survival Trait
  • Pessimists are never disappointed - but sometimes, if they are very lucky, they can be pleasantly surprised...
  • Even though everyone is out to get you, it doesn't matter unless you let them win.

Nothing is as simple as it seems in the beginning,
As hopeless as it seems in the middle,
Or as finished as it seems in the end.

New Remember, it's Drew and JB's fault.
But mostly Drew's.

[link|http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/president/|Electoral Map].

All Drew had to do was get 59,301 of his closest friends to change their votes from GWB to JFK and Kerry would have won. But noooooooooooooo....

;-)

Cheers,
Scott.
New I live on the other side of town from Drew, but I get a pass
I've only got 58,000 friends, plus or minus a few, so it wouldn't have made a difference...
New Ok, just this once. :-)
New I've got about 57,500
But they're probably mostly the same ones as Hugh, so it wouldn't have done any good.

New I expect we had a pretty good turn-out . . .
. . myself included. Unfortunately we didn't have a simplisticly powerful two word slogan like "gay marriage" to swing the sound-bite eating righteous masses our way.

Watch for "gay marriage" to be on the ballot again next election, even in states where it's already illegal, just as it was in the last election. It's the righteous thing for "Christians" to do, you know.

New No, must increase the vitriol:___'Gay Christian-muggers'

New Such a pity gay men can't be accused of having abortions...
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
New They eat children you know....
New Pedophiles all

New Wouldn't that be 'pedophage' . . .
. . or are you thinking of "eating children" in a different context?
