Didn't seem to be a major news story since the only one injured was himself, and the traffic he snarled up in Norman. He did it a little before halftime of the football game, and they didn't let anyone out of the stadium for about 30 minutes or so, but that's about it.

New should be a major story though
he is a homegrown suicide bomber who was into jihadi material and had enough of a concience left that at the last minute he made sure he wasnt a homicide bomber.

Based on what I've read on this topic (which admittedly isn't exactly "volumes"), we don't know whether he was trying to get to the stadium and his devices went off early for whatever reason. I don't recall having read that he specifically chose some random place a hundred yards or so away from the stadium, just so he could have minimal impact.

Kinda like the old saying goes, but sorta in reverse. Never attribute to (conscience) what can be adequately explained by stupidity...Until you know otherwise. :-P
