Welcome to IWETHEY!

New ah, well, it's always darkest just before...
it's pitch black. :-) how much worse could it get? Much worse is always the right answer to that. So, on the bright side of things, it isn't much worse yet. ;-)

This sounds like the perfect time to do a [link|http://www.laurenwood.org/anyway/archives/2005/07/06/the-perfect-gt/|little research]. Remember, it you do that, you will need to write up your findings. Wouldn't want the research to go down the drain.
Have fun,
Carl Forde
New How much worse can it get?
It can get to 11, which is one worse than 10.

When it gets to 11 I'll break out the gin and tonics. :-)
New NEVER ask that question. NEVER.

Imric's Tips for Living
  • Paranoia Is a Survival Trait
  • Pessimists are never disappointed - but sometimes, if they are very lucky, they can be pleasantly surprised...
  • Even though everyone is out to get you, it doesn't matter unless you let them win.

Nothing is as simple as it seems in the beginning,
As hopeless as it seems in the middle,
Or as finished as it seems in the end.

New what he said. some questions are better left unasked...
Have fun,
Carl Forde
New Didnt your teacher ever tell you that the only
dumb question is the one that you never ask?

If I dont know how much worse it's gonna get, how am I supposed to know how much alcohol to buy?
New re: how much to buy
A little more than enough, always...thirst is a terrible thing.

New ah, but then your perspective is
facing the wrong way. Focus on what you want to have happen and work towards that. What could go wrong should be viewed with a rear view mirror. If it catches you, well, at least you were going the right way...

If you buy too much alcohol you'll have trouble seeing the difference.

New The Docrtine of Dynamic Pessimism.
  1. The way of the optimist leads perpetually to disappointment.
  2. Expect the worst that can possibly happen. At worst you will be prepared for what you get. Most of the time you will be delightfully surprised at being wrong.
  3. If things turn out worse than you expected, that is a failure in your imagination. Perhaps you are just not cut out for pessimism.

New Conversely...
Two kids were put in separate rooms. The Optimist was put in a room filled with horse manure. The Pessimist was placed in a room full of toys. The Optimist was observed cleaning up his room and stacking the manure in neat piles. The Pessimist just sat forelornly in his room full of toys.

When asked what he was doing, the Optimist replied, "There has to be a pony in here somewhere!"

This phrase has gotten me through many crappy situations. (pun intended)

I hope it helps.

Peace,
Amy

Oh Freddled Gruntbuggly!
New Re: Conversely...
When asked why he was sitting there, glumly - the Pessimist kid said,

"Probably one will break; it'll be my fault - and I won't get to play with the others.."

New I knew there had to be more ;-)
Thanks for keeping me honest, Ashton.

Peace,
Amy

Oh Freddled Gruntbuggly!
New That's just a regular pessimist.
The Dynamic Pessimist, having already discounted the punishment, will go ahead and break toys to his heart's contnent.

The optimist, on the other hand, will, as always, be disappointed. Shoveled all that shit and still no pony.
