Less of an issue than it seems.
I thought I'd hate it, but I don't really notice the lack of a 2nd mouse button.
Not to mention, if you buy a Mini you can just provide your own keyboard and mouse. You're stuck with a notebook, obviously, but like I said it's not that big of a deal.

With a notebook, just plug in a USB mouse. E.g. Kensington.

Yes, you can always do that.
And I do, since I can't stand trackpads. Some people, however, don't want anything external on their notebooks.

[link|http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/mightymouse.ars|Ars Technica] has a review, and in it they note that some of the features don't work under either Windows or OS X without a driver installed - and that no such driver exists under Windows.
