I'd agree with you if you replaced almost every instance of "soak", "bath", etc., with the corresponding words for a shower.
Sorry, baths just don't do much for me except make me feel dirty when I'm finished. They're fine for cooling off, briefly, on a hot summer night in an unairconditioned room, but not for getting clean. Perhaps I've always lived in areas with hard water, but in my experience one always ends up with a slimy film of soap scum, dead skin, etc., etc. after a bath. (Unless one is fortunate enough to have a tub with a shower hose and thus the ability to wash that stuff off with fresh water. Several places I lived when I was younger didn't have such conveniences.)
Hot tubs don't appeal to me either.
Give me a nice long shower over a bath any day.
