to the facilities. The Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage Alaska being the 5 star hotel that is is has a shaving bar. I used to work there. Day started at 9am I would arrive at 7:30. Jacuzzi tub first a nice 10 minute or so soak headphones on or watching a variety of news feeds. Afterwards drag ass covered only in towel (separate male/female facility) to the steam room where one might encounter the Governor, various congress critters in season and local pols for languished conversation. Best is when it is empty so the steam is outfitted to your requirements. After replacing those turgid fumes from last night in your lungs with fresh filtered steam on to the sauna a nice dry 180 degrees until every pore is dry then wet as poisons leave the system then dry again. From there to the shower, liquid refreshments and shampoos hanging from dispensers, each stall having multiple jets of high pressure water. From there to the shaving bar with multiple choice of lotions lather and aftershaves, then the turkish terry robes and towels and a fresh bagel juice and coffee in the deep leather furniture with all the available daily rags from local to NYC. After feeling ready to go step into the clean clothes you brought with you and trundle 40 feet to your cube ready to do some work. Gawd I really miss that. Failing that Peter's idea that a bath is a ritual to be observed as opposed to a quick scrub to knock the clarty bits off is the best.
thanx,
