I recommend JavaScript. JScript is a very good implementation of (IMHO) a great scripting language. If the interfaces you need to script don't use SAFEARRAYs or VB-style collections, that's definitely the way to go.

Javascript is OK...
... but it can't hold a candle to Python.
If he can make the choice between Python, JScript, and VBScript, then Python is by far the most powerful, easy to understand and use of the three.
Python -- Pseudocode that runs. ;-)
