New I'm quite happy with mine.

Handles well and has quite a bit of vroom in it, when needed. Which, living in the middle of a mountain range, is pretty much always.

In fact, over this side of the pond the Focus is considered quite the capable rally car.

New As noted above...
...it's probably not at all the same beastie that I've had the misfortune of "driving".

(One steers it, much like one steers a shopping trolley around the supermarket).

The horrors I've had the displeasure of have all been 1.6 Zetec engined slugs.
