Not to worry
I'm an old pro at this. A few years back I had major sinus/septum work done, plus had a T&A done at the same time. I remember sitting in the recovering room with a popsicle in my hand, watching it melt and run down my arm. I couldnt coordinate my motor functioning to get the stupid thing to my mouth! The pain was impressive, but I'd say I was fully recoved in 3 weeks. The doc said recovery for this this procedure should be much easier. He's only going to cut away scar tissue and create some new ostia. Piece of cake.

Tonsils/Adenoids would be my guess
An old grilf had that done at the same time she was 'out' for sinus surgery..

Oh yes
Because I *SO* want to go through that again! Just for that, I'll post pictures anyway. I should look very fetching with all the swelling and gauze hanging out of my nose.

THAT would be neat.

TLAs
It's all in the usage. Many atime I've have to relearn a TLA cuz it had a different meaning at a different worksite. With Bio's background, T&A could very well be the accepted acronym for Tonsils and Adenoids. And she's a tad too young to have watched the T&A shows from the 60s & 70s.

If I was going to make something up
I'd choose a persona more glamorous than a middle-aged single mother who's barely getting by. I'd probably be a noted surgeon or psychiatrist with a big house and a maid. And a pool boy named Pedro. Gotta have the pool boy. :)

If I counted on my morals to supply my fiber, I'd explode from the backup.

[link|http://www.chclibrary.org/micromed/00068380.html|http://www.chclibrar...med/00068380.html] Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy (T & A) are surgical procedures to remove the tonsils from the back of the mouth or adenoids from the back of the nasal cavity -- both are are part of the lymphatic system, which is responsible for fighting infection. These operations are often performed together and are usually done on children. T & As are the most common childhood operations. Hey, I dont make this stuff up!
