you lived down in Verdun, didn't you?

Hochelaga is a quartier in Montreal. It is now what Verdun was in the 70s. Lots of organised and disorganised crime there. St-Michel is another neighbourhood like that; the main difference is that the criminals in Hochelaga are French while the ones in St-Michel are ethnics.

New Was harder to get one for a while, and is easier now
However, the saying "when having a gun is a crime, only criminals will have guns" misses the point that it becomes a lot easier to tell who the criminals are.

New thats yer other problem, turning ordinary folks
into criminals, speaking of the collective you, not you personally. Last time I visited that quaint country I had 3 court appearances in 3 weeks all due to nosy busybodies and theiving businessmen. I had to give my pistol to a local officer of the law as I was so disgusted I wanted to fly out instead of drive. He liked it, never having owned an automatic before.
