New Well, this is getting damned annoying . .
Every XP notebook brought in for parasite removal recently has had this feature where the item gets launched if the mouse pointer hovers over it for 3 seconds. One machine even became reinfected because of that.

Where does one turn this feature off?

It is sticky mouse buttons. Or auto-click functions when focus... something along those lines.

I had a hosed machine this morn that way.
