Mine is almost a text file, (my birthday database for my friends and family). It's a series of tables in word, with each table being a month.* I put the names, ages, dates into each table and then when I go to buy my Hallmark cards for the month, I simply write down whom I need from that. :)

I also have the birthday reminders to fix the cards up and send them on time, programmed into my Anytime Organizer System on my computer... and as a backup reminder, I write the name of the person to send the card to on my huge wall calendar, with "send (name of person) card."

Organization is wonderful, isn't it?
