Clocks and watches turn the same way everywhere, AFAIK.
(Except for those silly "novelty" clocks and watches... which *also* turn the same way -- anti-clockwise! -- everywhere.)
Would have been another thing if in stead of English, you were talking one of the languages -- I know several -- where the same thing is expressed something like "sunwise",wouldn't it? But... you weren't.
