Post #196,795 by Steve Lowe 3/1/05 1:57:20 PM Reply	Quickly It was very quick and peaceful. She went to sleep, snoring and everything. A minute later she was gone. It was hard on all of us, especially my 10yo son. But we are recovering. We have another dog, a Golden Retriever, who's been a great comfort to us all. We can tell that he misses her, too. Thanks everyone, my family and I really do appreciate the sentiments. -- Steve

I thought I was gonna lose my parakeet this morning, he had spots of blood all over him last night and the perch, and I couldn't tell where it was coming from. I got him to the vet this morning and it was just a small scab on his belly (on the fatty-sac he's had for awhile), that was bleeding a little. It looked like a lot of blood when it was just smeared all over. Whew. The vet doctored it and told me he'll be fine. He'll go someday though, and I'm not sure I'm ready for it, cause last night I was a complete wreck. They're just like family, aren't they? Edit: Anyway, I was thinking about you and your dog the whole time this morning when I went to the vet, and hoping you were doing ok.
