Here's a new one for everyone
I broke my foot this weekend. Was painting a door and it slipped off the saw horses and dropped on the top of my foot. Of course, I was not wearing shoes. CRACK. No cast or crutches needed- just a small break in the third metatarsal I'm walking funny and swearing a lot.

This was a bad weekend for feet,
I guess.
Me, I dropped a steak knife on mine. Blood everywhere. I cleaned off the cut w/ rubbing alcohol, but this morning it was still swollen enough that I had trouble putting on my shoe.

Ouch to both of you
I'd reiterate what Peter said, 'cept that I never wear shoes at home. Even going to get mail from mailbox (yes, I walk barefoot through the snow to the mailbox).
And to Bionerd, no swearing in front of your youngun.

Me too.
There's just something amusing about leaving barefoot prints in the snow.

Hope they both feel better soon
I also don't wear shoes around the house, mostly because both my big toenails have been healing for over a year and feel better out of shoes. One toenail was removed and the other was smashed, so both have been touchy at times and have times when they hurt and times when they are ok, so I wear shoes only when I have to go somewhere. When I go outside to get the mail and stuff, I slip on a pair of boots.
I also have soft foam things that I can slip onto my toes to wear in shoes when they are especially tender. I'm really pleased lately though, the one that was removed is almost looking normal again, it's just a little tender.
I hope your feet feel better soon!
