Canon i9100 printer.
I've googled to no success. If I can get this printer to talk to a Fedora 2 machine, I can rid my entire household of Microsoft. Has anyone got this to work or suggestions? I am unopposed to switching from Fedora to another distro if that'll help.
TIA.

Thanks. I am humbled.
But, I am frequently humbled here.
I saw the Turboprint link, but missed the other one.

You're in Michigan, right?
I OWE YOU LARGE!!!!
Tell me where your favorite pub is and I swear I will drive/fly/walk there and buy you enough of your favorite beer to make you invisible!!!!!
Caveat: They must also serve Foster's Lager either tap or in the "oil can".
God, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
And I'm serious about the beverages ;0)

I have no idea if any place around here sells that... :-P
Glad to be of service, though. :-D

Um, the kind we drink here in the State's isn't Aussie.
It's Canadian. And it is better than the goat pee from Australia.

I feel like a Toohey's, I feel like a Toohey's...
...I feel like a Toohey's or two.
Toohey's New is nice, Old is OK and Pils is great - very crisp and refreshing. For once, the adverts are right. (shock)

Three things...
1) It's free. 2) He's not making *you* drink it. 3) There's no accounting for taste. ;-)
Besides, if he's that close, perhaps we can swing by on our way out for the Fourth!

Sheesh.
I didn't say *you* had to drink it. You could drink whatever you want, but the only alcohol I consume these days is Foster's. Preferably from my kegerator in my basement, but I'll drink it from the cans when out. I don't know what happens to it when they put it in a bottle, but it tastes like shit from a bottle. Draft is best, oil cans are okay.
And I don't buy the "but you can't buy it here". Hell, every Applebee's sells Foster's in the oil can. Not that Applebee's is a pub, but Foster's is almost universally available, even in chains like Applebee's, Joe's Crab Shack, etc.

Places that sell beer that *I* would drink, aren't likely to sell Foster's... ;-)

Your shop-fu is weak my child.
Meijer, formerly MEIJER, formerly Meijer's Thrifty Acres, formerly Meijer's Grocery, has it in the coolers.
I think it was on sale last week(or so) to boot.

You never mentioned "in a pub"
Meijer is trying "becoming a bank". Err well trying to put banks in every Meijer.
They are also, trying "Real" Restaurants ala-Mall-Style, with entrances from the outside, open walled to Meijer as well.
Getting rid of the "purple cow" ice creams shops and doing the Baskin Robbins thing with external doors and open to Meijer. They tried TCBY, but really it didn't work out, I guess there isn't really much want for that product line. Baskin Robbins has a much wider variety of stuff.
Trying to change the Bakery/Deli area too. Making the Bakery a Dunkin Donuts (does the cakes and stuff too) in one Meijer for testing, Dunkin Donuts plus sharing sitting area with Baskin Robbins. They still have a Deli counter too, seems to have more variety, some very good stuff. Used to be the cheapest stuff they could find. Now, it seems to be on a few cents more (like american potato salad was $1.29/# now is $1.35/#. And tastes very good compared to the other stuff.
Meijer Gas Stations are now being remodeled and being coupled with SubWay or Wendy's
Meijer has been in a negative growth pattern for a coupla years, they are really trying to change that. So you never know, it might be a pub sometime soon.
