I tend to disbelieve modern fad diets - and, no offense, but the 'paleo-diet' is one of them, because if thier proponents are to be believed, farmers and European 'peasant-types' are, and were, the most unhealthy folk in history.
Eggs were 'bad'.
Bread, beer, and potatoes are 'bad' now.
Fat was 'bad'
Red meat was 'bad'
Cholesterol was 'bad'.
Sorry, but most of the farmers I grew up with ate this stuff all the time - and are STILL the most robustly healthy folk around.
Here's a clue - it's not so much the diet as the excercise.
And you know what? Too much excercise can be bad for you too.
